Frequently Asked Questions

Contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Potter House Recovery is an immersive, residential, peer driven recovery community for men and women. We use the Twelve Steps as the foundation for our program.

Potter House Recovery offers three programs:

Intensive Recovery = 28 days

Residents enrolled in the short-term, immersive program spend full days engaged in learning about and practicing the principles of recovery.

Vocational Recovery = 90 days

Residents in the 90-day program balance recovery workshops and Twelve Step Meetings with employment, allowing them to pay for their recovery.

Transitional Recovery = Up to 12 months

Offered to those who have completed our 90 day recovery program, the transitional recovery track offers residents the opportunity to live in our recovery community while transitioning to outside life.

Please fill out our intake screening form.

No. Residents enrolled in our 28 day program do not work. Residents enrolled in our 90 day program will commence a two-week blackout upon arrival, then seek and secure employment in the local community to pay for their own treatment services on a weekly basis. If a resident is already a Florence resident and already employed in Florence when they arrive, it is up to their employer whether or not they will agree to the two-week blackout period because they cannot work during that time.

We do not offer detoxing. We require all residents to detox from Alcohol and Benzos before coming to us.

We do not accept any forms of insurance. We are self-pay only.

We do! Scholarships are offered by donors and foundations that we work with that enable treatment for individuals with substance use disorder who desperately want help but simply cannot afford it. These scholarships pay for the first 28 days of our long-term program.

If you are in need of a treatment scholarship, please tell us more about your situation in the intake screening form.

We accept donations here.
